Principals

Rich Hunter, SMA Chairman, oversees long-term business strategies for SMA and its core clients. Rich has nearly 50 years of executive management experience in the sports, recreation, non-profit and corporate environments, including nearly 12 years with the NCAA. Brett Hunter, President and a principal, oversees all day-to-day company operations and the development of new business initiatives. Brett attended Westminster College (Mo.), majoring in Business Administration (emphasis in sports management) and played on the varsity men's basketball team. He has nearly 20 years of experience, including association with the ABA Kansas City Knights from 2003-2005, serving both as director of youth programs and team operations; and the Aspen (Co.) Basketball Academy as assistant director. He joined the SMA staff on a full-time basis in 2005 after serving in a number of part-time capacities at SMA since 1996. Brett serves as the executive director of the GABL Youth Sports Foundation and the executive director of Kansas City Football and Cheerleading, Inc.

Pam Broyles, vice president and a principal, oversees the firm's administrative and financial services. Pam has over 40 years of sports and non-profit administrative experience, most notably with the NCAA national office, where she served as executive assistant to the first three executive directors in the NCAA's history. Additionally, she served in the championships, administration and finance departments. Pam joined the SMA staff in January 2000.
